Dukes of Daisy Date for Hire  were a life saver recently when I found myself in a dire situation going alone to a work function. It was a dance and everyone had a partner except me. Fancy a break in the countryside and not sure where to stay? We found this tranquil place that we soon called ‘home’ just after a few hours. We arrived after traveling through the beautiful countryside to this large country house set on a farm which we soon discovered Bed and Breakfast West Sussex (Fortunately we took our bicycles with us as there are some great cycle routes) on arrival we were welcomed by our hosts who immediately made us feel at home. We were shown our rooms and thrilled at how spacious they were. We were soon invited down for a drink next to their roaring fire.

The weekend was perfect, we made some friends, cycled went bird watching and some lovely walks. The food was scrumptious.

We can’t wait for our next visit to Bed and Breakfast Dunsfold.

Lodge Brothers take their community involvement seriously

Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors Cobham has a fabulous rapport with the community, they like to play their part and contribute where they can, and they are indeed a special group of people who work for Lodge Brothers. They are kind and compassionate and not scared to get involved where they can, read what they have been up to this merry month of May.

Mad hatters Tea Party in Askew Road where fun was had by all.

May Madness comes to Askew Road in Shepherds Bush on Saturday 17th May. The local people were greeted by an Alice in Wonderland themed event organised by The Chelsea Fringe.

May Madness saw Morris Dancing, Stilt Walking, and May Pole Dancing and of course The Mad hatters Tea Party laid on by Maureen Lee and her daughter and granddaughter. The local residents were delighted with their EAT ME! Cupcakes and DRINK ME! Cups of orange squash provided free of charge by Barnes & Sons Funeral Directors.

Barnes and Sons also arranged a colouring competition for the local children with a prize for the best entry, the sun shone and the day was a great success.

One local resident passed the comment, “It is good to see the local funeral directors Twickenham getting involved and even dressing the shop windows. You have shown us you can have a laugh and show the locals that life is for living!”
